Mr Yap Kok Thiam, aged 45, was appointed as Koperasi’s Treasurer on 9 November 2020.
Mr Yap has working experience in accounting & finance industry since year 1996.
Mr Yap graduated with a Bachelor degree of Accountancy, from University of Bolton, England in 2009.
He started his career in 2001 as Senior Accounts Executive cum ISO 9001 Quality Management Representative with Ikram Megah Sdn Bhd. He was promoted to Assistant General Manager in 2003 where he was responsible for completion of financial reporting standard and management information for the business, including analysis on key financial indicators; variance analysis; profit & loss and cost management. He left Ikram Megah Sdn Bhd in Jan 2008 to join Malaysia Sheet Glass Sdn Bhd as Senior Executive where he was responsible for Set new standard cost for the company with allocation cost centre base on budget and monitor cost management.
In August 2008, he left Malaysia Sheet Glass Sdn Bhd to join Taiko Marketing Sdn Bhd as a Senior Account Executive and was subsequently promoted as Assistant Operation Manager in 2012. During his stint with monitoring stock position including 8 warehouses in Peninsular Malaysia & 4 warehouses in East Malaysia.
